Mile High Card Company Auction Opens to Unprecedented Bidding
If early bidding is any indication, Mile High Card Company's October 2015 Auction is going to have some pretty fantastic results. Mile High shattered the company record for bidding on an opening day led by a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle PSA 8, a 1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle RC PSA 8, and a 1953 Topps Baseball Set ranking #3 on the PSA set registry. This particular #311 Mickey Mantle is one of the finest surviving specimens and examples of much lower quality sell for top dollar. MHCC's PSA 8 graded card is currently bidding at over $258,000 and expected to rise. The #253 Mantle is considered one of the most important baseball cards ever produced and the preeminent rookie card of the post war era. MHCC’ example is currently selling for over $78,000 with several days left to bid. With cards like these spearheading an already fabulous auction, bidding is expected to reach new heights.

According to MHCC President and CEO Brian Drent in their most recent press release the “many items in this auction have not been publicly offered in well over a decade and while the bidding clearly reflects that, there’s still time for collectors to get in on the action.” Needless to say, this auction is featuring one-of-a kind items and definitely worth participating in. The auction is live now and will remain so until October 15th.

As indicated by the feverish bidding already, high-grade Mickey Mantle cards and Hall of Famer rookies are still the pinnacle cards of the hobby with the bidding creeping its way towards record prices. MHCC is also featuring breakups of a #1 PSA rated 1937 O-Pee-Chee baseball set with an incredible 9.13 GPA as well as the #1 ranked 1950 Drake’s set with a 9.18 GPA. Both lots are receiving a lot of action both as a complete set and as individual lots. Not to mention, MHCC is seeing strong bidding on a huge selection of 1952 Topps cards graded PSA 8 and PSA 9 MINT.

Some other auction highlights include:

1915 Cracker Jack #30 Ty Cobb SGC 92 NM/MT +8.5
1952 Topps #312 Jackie Robinson PSA 9 MINT
