We are proud to announce our inaugural auction containing 374 lots realized nearly $1.0 million. We estimate the consignors in our inaugural auction saved approximately $200,000 in fees by consigning with us rather than competitors who capture almost 28% * (that is not a typographical error) of auction proceeds with seller's commissions and buyer's premiums.
Paragon Auctions was founded with two fundamental goals in mind: first, to provide the best possible experience for consignors and collectors by driving fees down with our unique model; and second, to do so in an ethical environment in which we could read about our conduct in hobby newsletters or internet forums with pride. Our very name speaks to our aspiration: "Paragon" is a model of excellence, and we will strive every day to meet those goals.
We already have a large number of important artifacts for our fall 2011 auction. Once again, we will limit the number of pages so your items will not get 'lost.' Please visit us this weekend at the Philadelphia Baseball Card Show March 4-6, where we will be displaying some of the items consigned to our next auction.
Again, thank you for making our first auction such a success!
